Making Us a Priority {eden fantasys giveaway}

I mentioned in my new year’s resolutions post that I really want to make my marriage, my relationship with the husband, a priority in 2013.

We had our first 2013 solo date just a few weekends ago. It wasn’t anything over-the-top: just lunch at Outback with a giftcard. But it was us dining out for the first time since early September. My parents watched L & Z while we relaxed & chatted & filled up on shrimp & flatbread & steak. It was a great way to reconnect & remember we like each other besides the fact that we co-parent the same cute kiddos.

So when I was contacted recently by, I thought back to my resolution & checked out their site.

Yes, they do offer a wide variety of sex toys {most of which made me blush}, but I was excited to find they have great bath & beauty products & lingerie that would probably work for my post-partum body.

Things I also loved about eden fantasys: free shipping over $35 {I hate paying shipping} & great sales & promotions. Y’all know I can’t resist a good deal.

Because the people behind eden fantasys want us both to have a happy start to the new year, they’ve offered a $50 gift card to one of my readers to be used on anything of your choice!

    I like to treat myself to massages, bubble baths & quality bedroom time. 😉 Getting divorced has made me remember my sexuality on my own.

    My favorite way to reconnect with my husband has evolved as my kids have grown. I find now that I love to surprise him after work by picking him up from the bus stop with makeup and parfume on, then taking him out for dinner and drinks. We talk and enjoy this small bit of privacy. 🙂

  4. Gassmama says:

    We love dinner and drinks, just being able to talk is HUGE!

    I like to have date nights when we can – even if it’s just a simple dinner or running errands without the kiddo. It’s nice to have uninterrupted time together.

  8. Carly says:

    I like playing board games or card games with my husband.

  9. OzarksUSA says:

    My favorite way to connect is just cuddling and not talking about finances, our poor health, sick relatives, or how much the house needs cleaned…but just US! That’s my very favorite time of day. <3

  12. Smldada says:

    I love to reconnect with my husband by spending time together, talking and watching tv, after the kids are in bed. Although we did have a pretty fantastic (10th) anniversary back in August with a steakhouse dinner and a comped night at the Borgata in Atlantic City.

  14. Kristen says:

    After having our third child I am finding time for us to connect is getting harder and harder. We still have not made it out for a date alone without Charlotte (7 months) since she is still strictly nursed. But it is nice going out to dinner and trying to talk without the constant interruption from the two boys. Although I find cuddling while watching tv makes me fell most connected 🙂

    My favorite way to reconnect with my husband is to enjoy dinner at the restaurant where we first met. We love to reminisce about that first date while we’re there, and talk about our favorite dating/marriage memories all night. Sometimes it’s easy to forget what first brought us together, but going to our restaurant always brings us back to where we need to be.

  30. Olivia says:

    Definitely just chilling and cuddling together

  31. InsatiablyTaken says:

    My favorite way to reconnect is bed-ins. We typically do this right before laundry day. We make munchies and rent a few movies and just stay in bed and snuggle and talk all day.

  32. Stephanie says:

    I love doing really thrill-inducing things to spice it up, such as going to amusement parks, rockclimbing, and white-water rafting. When we get home, we’re so exhausted (yet enthralled) that we’re basically ripping each other’s clothes off the minute we step through the door (;
