Jason and I needed (wanted) new phone and a new carrier. We did our research and found we could get the best deal with t mobile family plans. With Jason’s work discount we were able to get g1s. I was kinda whatever about it until we brought them home and now I’m obsessed! I just found an app that allows me to blog pretty easily so you might be getting more updates from me.
Mexican Veggie Dip
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese
1 1/2 c sour cream
1 packet of taco seasoning
Directions
Combine ingredients and beat until smooth and creamy. Cover and refrigerate for several hours, til flavors are blended. Serve with assorted raw veggies or tortilla chips.
I made this for the baby shower as well. It wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be, but it was really good with both chips & veggies. I thought it was a good switch up from the basic ranch dips usually served with veggies.
Heavenly Fruit Dip
Ingredients
12 oz container whipped topping, thawed (used cool whip)
1 small jar of marshmallow creme
8 oz package of cream cheese
2 small cartons of strawberry yogurt
Directions
Mix ingredients together and refrigerate until ready to serve. Good with pineapple, apples, strawberries, grapes, etc. Other yogurt flavors can be substituted in place of strawberry.
We made this for the baby shower yesterday and it was a huge hit! It was really light and fluffy.
2008 Books
I’m going to delete the side bar that tallied all my ’08 books to make room for ’09 books. Though I’d make a post of them to remind myself.

Crockpot Salsa Chicken
I found this recipe on Stephanie Cooks and thought it sounded like something Jason & I would enjoy. I was spending today de-Christmasing our house so I was able to keep checking on it and stirring it.
Ingredients
4 frozen chicken breasts
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can reduced fat cream of chicken soup
1 c salsa
1/2 c sour cream
shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Place chicken at the bottom of your crockpot. Sprinkle taco seasoning on top of the chicken. Mix the soup and salsa. Spread over the chicken. Cook for 6-8 hours on low. Top with sour cream and continue heating until it’s hot. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
I served it over rice. I think Stephanie served it in tacos.
