grands

A guy at work lost his grandmother at the end of last week and sent out the sweetness, most heartfelt, touching email today to our dept thinking us for our cards, thoughts, and prayers. The part that touched me the most was the end which said that he was really thankful for all the time he had with his grandmother and that he was able to be with her and hug her a week before she died and to go hug your loved ones because you never know how long you have with them. That just tore me up! I was sitting in my cube crying! I am so blessed to still have all four of my grandparents. They all mean the world to me, but life gets busy and I don’t call or see them as much as maybe I should.
I’m going to see my dad’s parents this weekend. They’re so fun and spunky! Nana called me at work today to say that there’s a beach music concert Friday night and she was hoping we’d be down in time to go with her! I just can’t wait to give them a big hug! Here’s a picture of us at the wedding reception.Jason & I are going to a wedding in CLT in a few weekends and we’ll be able to see my mom’s parents then. They just moved into a retirement place~ I’ve been there once before and its a gorgeous condo but its been a huge adjustment for my very independent Papa. I can’t wait to have lunch with them soon! This is been on my mind all day, so I just wanted to share with the blogging world; go hug your loved ones!

Your grandparents are so cute! I’m very close to my grandma but she lives in NJ, and I hate that I only get to see her a few times a year. 🙁 She just broke her leg and I hope to get up there in the next few weeks to give her a hug. Enjoy your time with them!

You have the cutest grandparents!!! You are so lucky — I lost all four of my grandparents by the time I was 20 (actually, 2 died before I was born & Grammy died when I was 3) and I have always felt a hole in my life where they should be. Thankfully, I get to hang out with 600 residents that would be happy to “adopt” me, but I agree that it’s a generation to be celebrated! They are such amazing people, so enjoy them!

Hey. If you google c25k, the plan for the running is there! I downloaded a pod cast that tells me when to run and when to walk. Hope all is well! 🙂
