Jason & I went to the wedding of my friend & former coworker Amber & her new husband Amber over labor day weekend. I was the greeter for the wedding. Sadly I don’t have a good picture of the new husband & wife. But here’s Amber & me!
The wedding was at St Frances on Leesville and the reception was held at The Umstead.
They did an awesome job with it~ the big and little details were all great! She decorated the cocktail tables with whole limes with one gerbera daisy then the main dining/dance area tables had those amazing flowers!
The DJ was great, the food was very upscale & yummy, and awesome cake!Iit was wonderful to catch up with my Farm Bureau buddies!

Just realized that I hadn’t posted pictures from the party at our house. I added a few of the food to the post below. But I thought I’d add some fun pictures of us & our friends from the night as well. The bride & groom-to-be!
The crowd spread out in our kitchen/den/dining room as well as our back deck. Here’s my college friends & I outside.
Melon/peach must be the color of the season~ its the color of my new dress as well as 8 other ladies!!! It was great to meet &/or spend more time with Kelly & Brett’s friends and fellow wedding party members.
The three of us were recreating a end-of-the-party picture that we’d taken at Jason & I’s similar party. Good times. 😛
Can’t wait to their couples shower on 10/3 to continue the celebration!
Cheryl’s shower & batchelorette night!
Two weekends ago a group of us from college headed down to Greenville, SC to throw a shower for our friend/sorority sister/old roommate Cheryl.
We did a wine themed shower: we served three different types of wine with cheese pairing, grapes, more cheese & crackers, chicken salad sliders, pasta salad, hummus & veggies & ranch dip. All of the hostesses were from out of town and most of us had a slumber party at Cheryl’s house Friday & Saturday night. Instead of booking a restaurant that we didn’t know about, we took over Cheryl’s house as the shower location. Saturday morning we ran around like crazy kids putting it all together, but everything came together and the shower was a success! The guests were a good mix of college & grad school friends, his family, & her mom (who flew in as a surprise!).
Our friend Carrie made the cutest wine tags as favors.
We relaxed at her house for a few hours before getting ready for the night out! We started with dinner at Smoke on the Water.
Our next stop was Soby where Cheryl’s first shots of the evening took place. Then we walked up & down the main downtown street in Greenville~ we chatted at this sushi places & Carrie & Brehon did sake bombs!
Then we hit up more college age bars which made us feel old but we still had fun!
The last place of the night had a great bartender who gave us shots on fire!
Yay for occasions to get together & have a girl’s night out with great friends!
Downtown Greenville was really cool. I’m looking forward to heading back down there for Cheryl & Brian’s wedding at the end of October. More good times for sure!
Weddings!
I’m getting really excited about three upcoming weddings! My friend from work Amber & her fiance Magnus’ have asked me to be the greeter at their wedding in Raleigh over Labor Day weekend. It’s going to be really pretty and intimate at The Umstead Hotel.
My friend and old roommate from college Cheryl & Brian’s wedding is Oct 24th in Greenville, SC. The chapel location is on a mountain top called Pretty Place & the reception is at a place called the Lazy Goat! 😛
And my good friend Kelly has asked me to be the matron of honor at her & Brett’s wedding next Apr 24th! I’m already having a blast going to check out places & help get back in wedding planning mode.
I can’t wait for their upcoming showers, engagement parties, & bachelorette’s nights this summer!
Mollie & Colin’s Wedding
Jason & I went to Mollie & Colin’s wedding on 5/17/08 in Richmond. Mollie & her family are our next door neighbors at home. It was such a great time with family & family friends. Here’s a few of my favorite pictures from this wedding.
Well I’m trying to post a few more pictures but it’s not working. Maybe tomorrow night…
