Photo Dump, Week 36

Weekly project 365. The working-in-Edenton-again edition.

Day 260: As seen in my Fall Saturday post, I enjoyed a busy day full of friends & football {& cupcakes}!

Wolfpack Cupcakes

Day 261: I ran errands, did laundry, unpacked & packed again to be gone for a week. I forgot to take a photo until after midnight as I was going to bed. So no photo this day.

Day 262: Monday was one of the claims supervisor’s birthdays. We used to work together in claims & now we’re both at the home office. The Edenton office jumped in on a joke with a cake then a few of us grabbed margaritas & burritos at the local Mexican restaurant for a little b-day celebration that night.

Fishbowl margararita? Don't mind if I do!

Day 263: After a long day of work, another underwriter in town & I picked up Famous Subs for dinner. By 10p, my wine glass was being emptied & the sleep mask was calling my name.

Wild night in Edenton

Day 264: Wednesday night, we walked the five blocks down to 309 Bistro where I ate the heck out of a great salad & shrimp/feta/artichoke pasta dish. On the walk back, I snapped this photo of the Taylor {movie theater where the previous Wed I’d seen The Help}.

309 & the Taylor in historic downtown

Day 265: After another trip to Famous Subs {it was really good, close by & inexpensive}, I packed, watched the Wolfpack gets their butts kicked, & welcomed Grey’s back on the air with a couple glasses of wine.

I'd shed my red Gussy headband as a sad NCSU fan.

Day 266: While I could talk about my crazy Friday car accident, instead, I’m sharing photos of my home away from home for the last two weeks, The Packhouse Inn. I stayed in room 5 {the four corner windows on the second floor} of the Proprietor’s house & it was lovely. My home for two weeks

What was the best part of your week?

Happy Friday?!

I was hoping I could write a happy Infertile Friday post today. Not in a “I’m pregnant” kind of happy. That’d be ecstatic happy. I was hoping for normal happy.

And now as I type this with a strong cocktail in hand, I’m happy. I’m surrounded by my parents & aunt, & tonight I will enjoy good home cooked food for the first time in five days.

But this week was another crazy one working hours away from home in the claims department. Eleven hour days filled with phone calls, check folding, writing, file organizing, & excel spreadsheet entry.

I left work at 315p ready to fight the rain for 3 hours on my way up to Richmond. Five minutes later, I’m crying as I walk embarrassed back in the office letting them know I just crashed the company car into a brick column. It’s just a sort of small horizontal dent in the back bumper only. I’m not hurt. It’s not that big of a deal. But it still sucks. And since I didn’t have cell service at all I couldn’t even call my supervisor or bosses to let them know. The managers of the claims office took photos & were going to email them to my manager.

I’m spent just typing this. And I’ve got nothing to say on the infertility front. Since my cervix dilation, I have had a lot more CM which is an awesome sign. But my being away from home & husband for two weeks means pretty much no likelihood of pregnancy this cycle. But I’ve been so busy I haven’t really had time to think about it & I’ve really been okay. So long story short. I’m okay. My company car is kinda okay. And I’m off to have another drink. Happy Infertile Friday y’all.

Busy Fall Saturday

Saturday morning, I ran around getting ready for the second home NCSU game as well as a friend’s bridal shower. Strangely, fall arrived very early & the high for Saturday was a chilly & misty 62. Instead of my planned outfit {black dress & red accessories}, I ended up wearing jeans {thanks Lee for sending them to me} & a red long sleeve light sweater.

Rhiannon’s shower was held at her mom’s house about 45 minutes away. It was a beautiful house with fun pink decorations & filled with family & friends all there to celebrate.

Congrats Rhiannon!

We played BRIDE bingo while Rhiannon opened gifts. We left to head to the game before she finished opening all the gifts, but her family & friends gave her some fun things!

Gifts Galore!

Kelly & I arrived at the newlyweds Jessica & Micheal’s tailgate. Jessica & Michael courageously got married during hurricane Irene then missed the first NCSU home game while they were unwinding in St Lucia. It was great to hear their stories & catch up with them on the truck tailgate.

Tailgating fun even in the rain.

After a few beers, a fleece & rain jacket slipped on, & munching on fruit, dips, & cupcakes, we barely noticed the rain & cold! We had a great time together & it was made even better that NCSU beat S Alabama 35-13.

Great crowd & game at CFS

Have you YoCrunch’d? {giveaway}

My typical work day lunch includes sandwich, chips or crackers & some sweet. Sometimes the sweet is dried mangoes, cookies if I’d made some over the weekend, or yogurt if we have it &/or I’m feeling healthy. Yogurt also works well because I don’t feel guilty about snacking on it at that 10:30/11am time that I find I’m hungry before my 1230p lunch time.

So when Miranda & I stumbled upon the YoCrunch booth at BlogHer, I was interested to try something new. I feel like I’d maybe heard of YoCrunch or seen it at my local store. But like DWB, until BlogHer, I’d never tried it.

Thanks to a couple YoCrunch coupons, I brought home the Strawberry parfaits for free then again a week later for a discount. It was one of the only things I wanted post-dilation doctor appointment. At less than 200 calories, it’s a great afternoon weekend snack or breakfast or dessert.

I was thrilled a couple of weeks ago when I heard from a representative from YoCrunch & even more excited when he offered for me to share free yogurt with my readers!

YoCrunch Love

What’s up for grabs? FIVE coupons for a FREE YoCrunch four packs. I’m sharing the love so there will be not one but FIVE winners! My household loves the strawberry kind so much we haven’t branched out, but you can.

Just leave me a comment about your current favorite yogurt/snack.

For an extra entry, like @suzstreats and @YoCrunch & tweet something like “Love yogurt? Wanna try #YoCrunch for free? Enter to win a #giveaway from @suzstreats & @YoCrunch http://tinyurl.com/3lbyyly

I will close this giveaway next Monday Sept 26th at midnight, pick the FIVE winners with random.org, & email the lucky ducks for their address at that time. If no reply within 48 hours, I’ll pick someone else. You can check to see that your favorite grocery store carries them at the YoCrunch store locator {there’s $1 off 2 at the site too}. Good luck!

YoCrunch provided me with a sample & coupons when I met them at BlogHer & another coupon for this review. The opinions written here are all mine & not influenced by their gift of coupons.
