Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale

Beth & I are going! It’s going to be crazy, it’s going to be packed, & it’s going to be FUN! We’ve been debating back & forth, but finally decided yesterday that we were for sure gonna do it. I found $77 flights to & from Philly, a $35 rental car, & B is using points so we’re staying free at the hotel. I told Jason I will stick to a small budget, but I’m going more to check out the craziness of it all than for any outfit or dress. I know depending on where we are with TTC, my sizes could be changes a lot in the coming months… But Lilly shoes, scarves, etc 70% off! I will be sure to do a follow up post after we get back. 🙂

Coupon Queen in Training

A couple coworkers are awesome at coupons (they have organized binders & everything!). I dabble; I clip if I’m around a newspaper at family’s house, but print most of them out online. I check out to deals on wral.com, southern savers & since it’s my cousin’s website, my military mommy. I found out what were supposed to be the best deals but made sure they were things we’d use. I also wanted to stock up on things that I had coupons that would be tripled this week as well as things HT had on sale. So I spent $53 but between VIC deals & coupons saved $54! That includes two things of the Smart Chicken breasts, two cases of waters, diet coke, fruit as well as lots of regular groceries. The only things I purchased that were regular priced were milk & eggos since we needed both for breakfast this morning. 🙂

Next stop, CVS to pick up a RX. I remembered seeing on southernsavers.com though that CVS had good sunscreen deals this week (buy any two of their brand & get $5 off of next visit). I also had coupons for face wash, Dove deoderant, tampons, hair mousse & candy. I scanned by CVS card & was able to print a $2 coupon as well as $5 off purchase of $40. So my total was $28 & I saved $22 not including the $5 off for next time!

In (not so) short, although it can take a little time to look though websites to find best deals as well as to find/print/clip/organize coupons. It is definitely worth it!!

Weekend Shopping Trip

Hubby was out of town last weekend & I had coupons for Old Navy, Gap & had heard Ann Taylor LOFT was having 40% off all their sale items. I also needed new tinted moisturizer & mascara and maybe eye product from Laura Mericer so off to the mall I went. First stop was Old Navy where I returned this kacki jacket I’d bought last week & repurchased it using the 20% off coupon I had. So I started out the day spending negative $6.

The Laura Mericer counter was actually having a national event Saturday so I had full makeup done. They did a smoky eye with golden green eyeshadow. Very different for me, but I loved it. So with more money than I will mention spent, I left with a lot of new makeup & tips on how to use it!

Next stop, Ann Taylor LOFT where I bought two top that aren’t on their website. One is sleeveless & pinkish/purple & a little ruffly & V neck. It’ll be perfect for work this spring/summer. The other is more of a dressy T-shirt. Its light purple & has a sparkly flower on the right side. I think it’ll be great for weekend when you want to look cute running errands, out to lunch, at the beach etc, but still be comfortable. Both shirts were right around $20. 🙂

Sunday after church I went back to the mall. I wanted to check out the new H&M (really big & good looking stuff but I didnt see anything I couldn’t live without) & also see if Gap had anything worth spending my $10 off & also 30% off coupons. I thought this polo was too cute & loved the color. After $10 off, it was only $14!With the 30% off full price I found this basic white cardigan (on sale for $39 then after coupon $24!) that I thought would be great over dresses for work or with a scarf & dress pants.I used the 15% off sale items to buy this dress (only $21) which I wore to work yesterday & received compliements on (even from my husband who doesn’t always notice what I’m wearing!) I thought I’d wear the dress again on Saturday before the wedding while we’re getting ready & getting our hair done.

Anyone else shop over the weekend? What’s been your favorite new outfits for spring/summer?

Lilly Murfee Scarf

Remember my “champagne taste, beer budget” & also “I love deals!” post below?! Well my friend B told me about a deal she’s found & buying~the Lilly Pulitzer Murfee Scarf for 32% off. I’ve been eying them for a while but not for the $118 price. Well I’m in love with this one. Isn’t it cute?! (but maybe not with a popped polo)!Haven’t seen & probably won’t a deal this good again…So yeah, I’m calling it my Valentine’s Day gift from hubby! I think it’ll be cute with dresses for upcoming weddings as well as fun with pink/white/yellow/melon tops for work & weekends this spring & summer.

Trader Joe’s!

Not sure if I’ve mentioned Trader Joe’s much on here but I love it! The new Raleigh store opened last Friday right near Costco (maybe 2nd favorite place to grocery shop) and only 10 mins from us. The Cary TJ’s was more like 30 minutes. I’d usually try to stock up whenever I was in Cary, but now I don’t have to!!!! I went tonight to check it out, get dinner for myself, things to take for lunches this week, and few of my TJ’s staples (frozen fruit, hummus, pizza dough & sauce, wine, pretzel chips, bananas). $82 later; I had all that plus lots more. 4 packed bags full in fact! I plan to try out their pumpkin muffins for this weekends tailgate, the pumpkin pancake mix sounded yummy for Sunday breakfast, got bagels to eat with the Apple Butter wedding favor from 2 weekends ago, the super friendly check out guy told me I HAD to get the maple cookies, etc etc. I’m a sucker for deals on great food. I’ll post later if any new items I got should be recommended. 🙂
