Lisa from The Pursuit of Happiness asked to see my new nail polish color. Thanks for the comment Lisa! I took a photo of my hand tonight. The color is different from my normal pink/red/melon color. It’s called Mink Muffs by Essie. It’s about a week old at this point, but I still really like it!

Late Night Thankful Thurs

I wrote part of this thankful on a Thursday post at work today. Now that I’m home from the NCSU vs Cincinnati game (& the Wolfpack WIN!!), I thought I’d type it up while it’s still Thursday!
What I’m thankful for this week:
*New nail polish inspired by the fabulous Pioneer Woman. I also bought the OPI color Suzi loves Chocolate. Its a great mix of red & brown & will be perfect for fall & winter.
*Baby showers~ especially for triplet babies! Can’t wait to squeal over them & squeeze them & their fabulous mom on Saturday. I’m also so thankfully excited to see my internet favorites Saturday!
*Thursday night football games! When we win! On ESPN! And we don’t have to drive (thanks Kelly & Brett!) And I just finished my period so I could drink knowing we’re not pregnant {yet!}.
*I believe tomorrow I will be thankful for sleep, Excedrin, water & cheesy grits from the cafeteria. 😛
I was on a roll yesterday!
A blog giveaway win roll!
I got to work & saw I’d received an email from Minimal Mom saying that I’d won her Frilly Butt giveaway. Y’all please look at those pants! I know I’m definitely years away from needing potty training pants, but I couldn’t resist entering when I saw those ruffles & polka dots. I never thought I’d win! I told the Frilly Butts owner I’d love them in a 2T~ I think they’ll be in the future baby stash closet for a while! Have yall seen the other super cute things on their etsy shop (like the owl potty pants?!)?
Then I heard from Lins at I’d won one for the giveaways done in celebration of her daughter Ryann’s 1st birthday. Even more exciting, I’d won one of the famous Coconut Robot’s fabulous Hello My Name is… onesies! You can check out more of them on her esty shop, but here’s the photo I grabbed from Waking Up Williams of REW in hers.
The cool part, you can take off the Hello part (it has snaps) and attach it to bigger onesies as the little ones grow. The super cool part, Kacia ok’d waiting to make mine until we are pregnant & have confirmed baby name!
And those who follow me on twitter & have seen my #clothdiaper tweets both questions about them & giveaway tweets know I’ve been REALLY trying to win some cloth diapers. I’m hoping that a large enough free stash will help put Jason over the fence & agree to (at least part of the time) cloth diaper our future kids. So when my {internet & now irl?!} friend Alena over at Charmingly Chandler posted her first cloth diaper giveaway I was all over it. Doing all the possible entries including daily tweets about the giveaway! Well they paid off when I saw her email telling me to check out this post! I literaly squeeled at my desk!! Check out Itty Bitty Bums etsy page ~ how cute are they! I might just have to get one of the retro owl print ones along with my solid diaper {yall know I can’t resist an owl!}.
My future baby closet is getting fuller!!
Gotta love…
fulfilled promises & great (twitter) customer service! {One last cat litter post & then I promise I’m done!}
After making this post & some earlier & later tweets back & forth with @bestcatlitter, they offered us free bag of the cat litter they suggested to us. Of course, I gladly took them up on the offer. But honestly, I thought wel,l some things that sound too good to be true, might be just that. But today I came home from work with a World’s Best Cat Litter box on the doorstep. Moekitty must have know what was inside because he was VERY curious. Inside they gave us a 3.5 lb bag of the multi-cat litter & a mat that I plan to put under Moe’s litterbox.
I took a photo of what the box contained then my usually photo shy cat jumped in the photo! {He’s a fan & says “thanks”!}
I had bought a large sized bag of the standard World’s Best & plan to use that up before totally switching to the multi-cat version. But I bought a bag of the mulit-cat two weeks ago and added it in the box with the other. I do think it helped cover up smells better. So far I haven’t noticed it clumping all that much more, but like I said, it’s just a little mixed in for now. I’m looking forward to seeing how it does. And we will certainly see soon & for a while becuase we are well stocked now. Since I had a $3 off coupon set to expire 9/15, I bought a bag Saturday & now thanks again to World’s Best, we received another in the mail today!
I had been buying World’s Best Cat Litter on my own (with the help of coupons) for months before World’s Best Cat litter gave us this bag. Big thanks to them, but the opinions & photos in this post are all mine (well & Moekitty’s).
Thankful Thursday

Last week I went for mostly the big things I’m thankful for. Today, it’s the little things.
* happy hour tonight with my college sorority sisters. Happy hour scheduled today for next Wed with my coworkers.
*speaking of happy hours, I’m thankful for beer/wine/cocktails! Some nights they just make it all better!
*books! I love getting new ones even if they’re used from PBS or the library. My TBR stack is piling up with The Hunger Games, The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes, & The Friday night Knitting Club up next after I finish South of Broad.
*Tastefully Simple stuff. I received a box full of the goodies I’d purchased from two weeks ago. I made a little of the Fiesta Dip last night (3 tsp Fiesta mix, 2 tbsp mayo, 6 tbsp plain yogurt (I subbed that for sour cream). It was so good on my sandwich & with veggies!
*Laura Mercier mascara. I forgot to put it on this morning until I went to the bathroom at 10. I look so weird {to me} without it. My coworkers at Amy’s birthday break didn’t even notice though.
