Thanksgiving weekend pups

I was going to add these photos from last weekend to one of the posts below, but then I thought they were cute enough for a post of their own! Enjoy! Bocce, the white Bichon, is my grandparents very spoiled only child. Quinn {named after Quinn in Glee} is a French Bulldog that belongs to my brother & his fiance. Quinn is used to being around other dogs & lives with two cats.

Quinn likes to sit on my dad’s lap. Then Bocce would get jealous/curious & jump up. Quinn would be like ok cool. Bocce would then freak out & bark/growl. Trying to take these photos was difficult! You can tell Quinn’s pretty laid back but my dad was having to hold Bocce! And both were getting distracted!

Bocce & Pawpaw’s usual rutine includes a lot of naps in the below chair. Bocce finally realized it was ok for Quinn to join them, but only if Quinn stayed on Pawpaw’s legs down.

Bocce loves drinking the condensation off bottles. When Dad finished his beer, he held it out to Bocce who {with help from Dad} proceeded to hold it in his paws & “drink” it! LOL!

Trying To Conceive

oh CD1…

I thought this post out in my head the other day. I let it marinate a little before deciding to post {from my phone so excuse errors}. So CD1, you make me feel…angry, sad, depressed, jealous, then hopeful. All those emotions just in one day.

Angry that what we thought was a good cycle didn’t end up with a BFP.

Sad that we won’t be celebrating the 2010 holidays pregnant. I swore we’d be pregnant by football season~that’s out the window now too.

All the above’s made my usually happy self a little depressed this week. Crawl under the covers & sleep depressed but nothing a few beers & some Ben & Jerry’s & Christmas decorations couldn’t fix though.

Oh the jealousy this week. I’m normally not a jealous person. If someone has the fortunateness or luck or both to have something I admire, usually I’m like awesome for them & move on. This week, pregnant people I don’t know {ones I know I’m still just happy & excited for!} and baby toys & baby sale flyers just make me jealous. Instead of keeping the baby store coupons for gifts, this week they’ve gone right in the recycling bin.

Then back to hopeful. Hopeful that this new cycle, cycle 11 TTC, will be the one! Hopeful that my projected O date being on my birthday might be good luck! Hopeful that if this is the cycle that you could get an awesome Christmas gift~ a BFP! Keep your fingers & toes crossed.

update~ HUGE thanks to Kelly if you’re seeing this for reading & stopping by with beer & ice cream! Jason & I really appreciate that & you as always!! Also much love to other friends, both IRL & internet friends for their comments, email, FB messages etc. They mean more than you know!

New Boots! and other Black Friday deals

Husband’s playing a video game & my blogging Monday made him “die”. So I’m blogging from my phone for now. Excuse errors. I’ll go back tomorrow & fix as well as add photos.

After our successful midnight shopping, we were up again by 815a Friday morning. I grabbed a Diet Coke and a few pumpkin cookies before getting in the SUV w/ Mom & Nana to be at Victoria’s Ragpatch by 9a. We arrived at 9:02a so we missed standing in line but arrived in time to get a coupon each for 50% off any one regular price item! Almost the entire OIB store was 75% off clothes (including Lilly!) and 50% off accessories. We all scored OkaB’s for $7 (Mom & Nana got a few for themselves & I bought some for gifts for my aunts). I also bought a pair of Lilly linen pants for $22, a Lilly koozie, guest towels & coasters. I used my 50% off coupon on one of the brand new resort line peach chic polos. I love those buttons & can’t wait til its warm enough to wear.

After Vicki’s, we headed to Belk’s. We bought my grandfather loungewear, some jewelry for ourselves (like $17 for supposed to be real black & white pearl necklace/bracelet/earring set) & I found some tall flat dark brown boots that I loved! Only problem, didn’t have them in my size. A helpful salesperson discovered they had 4 at my home mall Belk & a super helpful Raleigh Belk employee let me purchase them over the phone & she found coupons to make them an even better price~ orginally $89 bought for $48!! I wore them today with brown leggings & took a self pic to show yall.
We went back home for lunch then back out to go to surf shop for my brother as well as pick up all the pandora jewelry {the saleslady there had wrapped them individually then held them for us}. We bought fresh off the boat grouper to have for dinner. We topped with blackening seasoning then baked and served with broccoli casserole & leftover sweet potato casserole.

Saturday we mostly chilled. Mom & I took a good walk on the beach. We celebrated Mom’s birthday {which was Sunday} and {very early} mine after lunch. Lowes Food cake was delicious! And we both opened some fun gifts! I received a purple v-neck from Loft, an orange sweater dress {that will look awesome w/ my boots!}, Lilly Christmas ornaments from my brother, & grandparents & parents put money towards my Nikon Christmas camera.

The girls went for mani/pedis early Sat afternoon. I chose RED opi polish anticipating it lookin’ great cheering on NCSU at the ACC championship 12/4. Sadly, the NCSU/MD did not go the way we hoped. Towards the end of the game we left & went to see the end of the OIB floatilla. The boats looked great & helped get me really in the festive Christmas mood.
