Steppin’ Out Saturday 1/29

Joining up with Steppin’ Out Saturday this week. The going out for Mexican with friends version. 🙂  I had Jason snap these right as we were walking out the door.  I wasn’t totally expecting it which explains my funny look.

Suz~ earrings, Belk.
sweater, Loft.
Seven jeans, Stein Mart.
ugly red chair, hand-me-down on its way to GoodWill.

**Also wanted to let y’all know that I have a couple of giveways in the works.  My plan is to do one when I reach 75 followers & another round at 100 followers.  So if you read &/or love giveways, follow & keep coming back!***

Project 365 Week 4

My week was both busy & chill. My favorite kind!  It was also the first time I missed a day of my #project365!

Day 22 Last Saturday was Beth’s baby shower which was so much fun!

Day 23: Sunday went to church with my friends Kelly, Brett, Beth & Kevin then relaxed that afternoon with a good book & a sleepy Moekitty.

Day 24: Monday was a busy day at work but ended awesomely with a girls night at Lynnwood.

Day 25: Tuesday I ended up leaving work midday to take Jason to the doctor for his eye. I luckily grabbed my book as we were walking out the door because we had a bit of a wait.  I read again Tuesday evening. {photo was actually taken Sunday though! My first p365 cheat!}

Day 26: Wednesday a day filled with fun: breakfast with a new agent, lunch with a coworker out on maternity leave, then Chi O alum Bunco which made the sadness of it being Ma’s birthday not as hard.

Day 27: Thursday Jason & I chilled at home. I’d packed a small lunch & was starving! by the time I left work.  But a spicy chickfila sandwich was the perfect dinner & hit the spot {along with waffle fries & ketchup & half diet lemonade-sweet tea}.

Day 28: I worked a little late Friday to make up for time I was out Tuesday.  I got home & was on the floor with Moe while he was playing with his toys.  I took a few photos of him thinking they’d be the project 365, but then I rolled over & saw the snowman & shot it, cat fur on the floor & all {just keepin’ it real}.

How was your week?

Happy Birthday Ma

Today would have been a day of celebration.  Phone calls from family, friends stopping by, a candle in her cake & ice cream with lunch & maybe dinner too.  Weekends before & after with family & flowers & gifts.

Instead, I’m sitting here today thinking about Ma & thankful for the 85 years of celebration we had. 86 would have been fun.  Instead we’re left remembering the fun times of the past, thankful that we have digital photos {happily rediscovered recently} from our trips to Vegas, Williamsburg, Hilton Head & Ocean Isle; graduations, weddings & showers in GA, NC & VA.

We love you Ma!  Happy birthday.  Hope Jesus & passed on family & friends are throwing you an awesome birthday party in Heaven.

Recent Cycles

I’ve decided that I would post the charts for my past two cycles.  Cycle 11 began Thanksgiving weekend & O date slipped up on us over my birthday weekend and then as Ma turned for the worst, TTC was sent to the back of my mind.  I spotted for such a long time I was beginning to wonder what was up.  Then CD1 happened Christmas day on top Ma’s passing.  11 day LP is the longest yet.

I’d love to get y’alls thoughts on my O date for cycle 12.  Did I O on day 12 {which was what FF advanced says} or did I O on day 16 {based on +opk}?  Either way isn’t perfect, but I either had a normalish length LP but +opk after O date or good high temp climb but super short LP.

As for cycle 13, we looked up the forecasted due date if I were to get pregnant this cycle & it would be Oct 24th.  We decided based on my brother’s wedding being Oct 22nd that we didn’t want to have us or our families deal with that chance.  I’d hate to miss their wedding or make my parents choose between son’s wedding & first grandchild.  It was also nice this weekend to not wake up and temp at 7am.

Also, we happened to be at our regular doctor today {Jason got something in his eye & had to get something for the scratches}.  I asked her who she recommended as a new Ob/Gyn as I want to switch {if you’re in Raleigh area, please let me know who you like}.  I told her I was asking since we planned to go to get a referral for the RE for testing etc. Our awesome doctor advised as our primary she could refer us {skipping that extra copay!!}.  So we don’t have an appt quite yet, but it’s in the works.  I’ll keep y’all posted how things go!
