A guy at work lost his grandmother at the end of last week and sent out the sweetness, most heartfelt, touching email today to our dept thinking us for our cards, thoughts, and prayers. The part that touched me the most was the end which said that he was really thankful for all the time he had with his grandmother and that he was able to be with her and hug her a week before she died and to go hug your loved ones because you never know how long you have with them. That just tore me up! I was sitting in my cube crying! I am so blessed to still have all four of my grandparents. They all mean the world to me, but life gets busy and I don’t call or see them as much as maybe I should.
I’m going to see my dad’s parents this weekend. They’re so fun and spunky! Nana called me at work today to say that there’s a beach music concert Friday night and she was hoping we’d be down in time to go with her! I just can’t wait to give them a big hug! Jason & I are going to a wedding in CLT in a few weekends and we’ll be able to see my mom’s parents then. They just moved into a retirement place~ I’ve been there once before and its a gorgeous condo but its been a huge adjustment for my very independent Papa. I can’t wait to have lunch with them soon!
