Moe this Week

I was going to make some of these photos the project 365 for that day. But I took better pictures. So instead here’s a little montage of Moe this week aka p365 rejects! 🙂

Sunday morning Moe

Thursday night Moe joined me at the dinner table & he even posed as a model!

Moe got back in bed this morning after I was up & while I was getting ready for work. It cracked me up so I snapped this photo to email to Jason & share with y’all.

I ran out of food while feeding Moe this morning. A fat cat without food is not a good thing, so we stopped at Petco tonight. Y’all Moe was so happy when I set that bag down!

Hope you  have a weekend as relaxing as our Moekit will!

Captured: Nightstand

Fellow Raleigh blogger, Adventuroo, recently started Capture the Everyday. Last week’s theme was something you couldn’t live without. I kept meaning to photo & post about my Diet Cokes, but I forgot.  Moving on. This week’s theme is your nightstand.

I took a few photos Thursday night of my nightstand {after I speed-dusted with the Tshirt I was wearing} as well as the one of Jason’s side of the bed. Mine includes three photos~ all are at least a couple of years old: one with college friends tailgating before a football game, the second at my sorority big sister’s Pawley’s Island wedding, & the one closest to my head at night is my first favorite photo of Jason & I which was also taking tailgating at a football game.
We have Target lamps on both nightstands. The alarm clock is now just used as a clock because I kept sleeping through the radio or CD playing. I use my cell phone’s alarm in the mornings and keep my phone charging here too.  A grey cat that my Ma gave me soon after we got Moe and a small flower spaced jewelry dish {which currently holds a rock I got at a church years ago} both also live on the nightstand.
The two books are both Christian daily prayer stories which sadly I don’t read often enough. Like others I will sometimes not be able to sleep because a to-do list that won’t leave in my head. This happened a lot while I was wedding planning. Now that notepad is frequently used to remind me of my BBT. Speaking of that, you’ll also see I have a thermometer, water bottle & my new thyroid medicine as well as my mouth guard {which keeps my TMJ under control} on my nightstand.

Jason side has two of his favorite photos from our wedding: he & I at the bar after the rehearsal dinner & he & his groomsmen. I gave him the Alway Kiss Me Goodnight sign a couple of years ago for Christmas since I love a goodnight kiss.  The little thing on its side is a tiny but super bright flash light which is great for checking to see what Moe’s doing in the middle of the night or looking into the closet which has a broken light.

Triplets!

I finally had the chance to stop by to see Jenny & her miracle triplets this Saturday.  Sarah, Alethea & I got in lots of hugs with Toby & Eleanor who were awake or sleeping in our arms most of the time.  Jenny attempted to trick the internet aunties by dressing all three the same~ it worked at least at first.  Mom & Dad seem to totally have parenthood down pat.  Also, I saw Jenny cloth diaper in action & it didn’t seem too tough or overwhelming even though there’s three!

Sarah with Toby, Jenny then Alethea with Eleanor

Those triplets are so cute, y’all!  I took over 40 pictures in the hour or so we were there!  Deciding which ones to share was so tough, so here’s a few big collages.

Alethea with Eleanor. I’m holding Toby & then Eleanor. Right Jenny?

Callista was napping for a while {in their oh so cute room & cribs}, but I was able to hold her for a minute before it was time for her to eat. Rob fed Toby while Jenny fed Callista & Alethea held the sleeping Eleanor. {The photo below is from earlier though & of Toby & his early practice of the fine art of motor-boating.}  After feeding, Rob was rocking it holding both Toby & Callista!!

Thanks for having us, J & R.  I hope to be back for more baby snuggles soon!

Gigi’s Cupcakes

Happy Valentine’s Day!  Thought I’d share a little something sweet for all  my sweet blog friends!

I’ve been hearing about this cupcake place for a little while now, but haven’t had the chance to go until Sunday.  They’re usually closed Sundays, but luckily for us, they were open for pre-Valentine’s day specials!  How beautiful are those cupcakes!  By the way, Alethea & I walked Saturday & Sunday mornings anticipating the goodness.

I tried the Strawberry Shortcake {white cake mixed with fresh strawberries & buttercream icing with fresh strawberries} & Alethea had a Valentine’s Day special one with chocolate cake & strawberry icing.  Mine was probably my favorite cupcake EVER!!

We save $2 by getting a four-pack, so I have a Scarlet’s Red Velvet cupcake for myself for Valentine’s day & Alethea took home a White Midnight Magic.  That means there’s something sweet waiting for me when I get home {other than Moe & Jason of course}!

all photos taken with the “food” scene.  I love how clear they turn out.

Photos Week 6

Day 36: Saturday I went to our friends’ engagement party & had Jason take a few SOS photos before I went out.  I participated in Joy of Love’s Day 5 {what you love to hate} with these photos.  For me it’s the clutter & clothes stacks.  I can atest that the clothes stacks were attached on Sunday but I believe until TLC knocks on the door for a makeover, we might be stuck with some clutter.

Day 37: Sunday after church I went to a Pottery Barn design class.  Part of the class focused on pillows.  I bought one covered & moved around some others.  I love my cozy nook of the den.

Day 38: Monday I cheated.  Jason took this so it’s not *really* mine, but it’s the only photo taken.  It also made me smile when I checked my phone at work & found Moe starring down the pillow in “his” chill spot.

Day 39: Tuesday night was the usual The Bachelor on the laptop.  This time it was right after work before Jason got home & as soon as I was on the loveseat with the Valentine’s Day owl blanket, I had a buddy making his bed on the couch with me.

Day 40: Wednesday night Moe was napping & I was watching TV in our usual spots.  He looks funny with his eyes half-open when I snapped this.  Also check out my Joy of Love day 9 {their hobby} post.

Day 41: Thursday morning, we woke up to a dusting of snow.  Moe & I enjoyed looking out the window at it.  I used this photo as Joy of Love day 10 {their favorite space}. Jason & I headed off to our 1st RE appt.

Day 42: Friday night we met friends out for dinner.  It was actually a surprise 30th for our friend Dave.  Good job Beth for pulling off the surprise!  I also received Boden purchases & tried on the skirt before I left for dinner.

How was  your week?
