Nineteen Weeks

I didn’t like my outfit Saturday & Sunday was a bumming/cleaning day. I’d changed out of work clothes when I remembered I promised a photo~ here’s me today in my new Target top & Gap maternity pjs {& no makeup}. Happy Monday! How far along? 19w2d

Maternity clothes? yes. I had a few more given to me this week & a bought a few new {on sale} Target long sleeve tops.

Weight Gain? I weighed myself after a big dinner with friends Thursday night & I’m up 20 lbs from pre-pregnancy.

Stretch Marks? none yet.

Sleep? Ok. Wed-Fri mornings I woke up around 430 to pee & had a lot of trouble stopping my mind from racing in order to go back to sleep. Saturday night was tough for sleep too. Now that I know baby A is all along my right side, I stress that I’m squishing him sleeping on that side even though my brain knows it & he are okay.

Movement? I’m feeling both A & C pretty regularly now that I know where they are.

Genders? A is a boy & C is a girl.

What I Miss? Baby B. Feeling A & C is so reassuring yet makes it that more obvious that there’s nothing to be felt on the lower right side.

Food cravings? We bought strawberries at the store Tuesday evening. I’ve been topping strawberry ice cream with the strawberries at night & it’s been awesome.

Food aversion? Still not gone to a Mexican restaurant, but I enjoyed another trip to Moe’s last week & had queso & chips with friends Friday for lunch.

Labor signs? No, thankfully.

Belly button in or out? Still an innie.

What I’m Looking Forward to? Husband’s mom & sister, my parents & my grandparents are coming in town this weekend for a shower. I’m really looking forward to everyone being together celebrating the babies.

Weekly Wisdom? Try everything you can to get sleep. I’m pretty sure my lack of sleep has led to an annoying little head cold.

Milestones? Baby Center says the babies are having a sensory explosion this week. So I’m going to try to let them hear our voices a lot this week. The app also says the babies will be 8 oz & 6 inches long ~ the appointment told us though that A was already 9 oz & B was over 8 oz last Tuesday.

Eighteen Weeks

I don’t love these photos, but they’re the best of the ones I snapped before heading to my friend Laura’s Scentsy party. I think the belly has filled out more on the sides ~ enough that it’s starting to fill out maternity tops like this Loft one as well as making me glad to have full paneled maternity pants like my new Target dark jeans.

How far along? 18w1d

Maternity clothes? Absolutely. This week I’ve been venturing into almost all maternity tops too although I did wear a super long regular top with a normal cardigan {unbuttoned} one day this week.

Weight Gain? not sure but I’ll probably find out at the next appointment.

Stretch Marks? none yet.

Sleep? Getting more used to sleeping on my side surrounded by pillows.

Movement? I *think* I felt tiny punches from two different babies in one day while sitting at my desk at work. Haven’t really felt that much in the last few days.

Genders? Still thinking boys/girls mixture but we’ll see for sure Tuesday.

What I Miss? The ease of just grabbing an outfit from a full closet. My choices are more limited but I know I still have enough to get me through. I did break down & buy 2 more full panel pants {they’re way more comfy for the triplet belly than the low panel ones} & a new top last Sunday at Target. All three were on sale at least 50% off though & I had gift cards.

Food cravings? Still the usual~ pizza, pasta, ice cream. I mentioned my daily food favorites Friday.

Food aversion? Y’all! I ate Moe’s Monday night! My first Mexican{ish} food in months. The Joey Jr was amazing. I haven’t jumped into any more Mexican adventures but very pleased that maybe my Mexican food aversion is over?!

Labor signs? No, thankfully.

Belly button in or out? Still an innie.

What I’m Looking Forward to? Our BIG ultrasound appointment in just two days! Can’t wait to see the trips again in high resolution & find out boys/girls. I’m also looking forward to celebrating the babies in the next couple of weeks with family & friends at showers.

Weekly Wisdom? Don’t leave your only pair of maternity pjs in your bed under the covers. Your sleepy kitty might somehow bury under the comforter, cuddle in between your pillows & decide to have a snack {a silver dollar sized hole in the side of your pants}. Thank goodness for Old Navy coupons, sales, & cash back.

Milestones? Eighteen weeks means I’m more than halfway done with my pregnancy. That’s kinda bittersweet because I really love being pregnant. I also know that while it’s been pretty smooth sailing so far, things will be getting bigger, crazier, scarier from here.

The trips have grown into the size of bell peppers for week 18 ~ 5.5 in long & 7oz. The baby center app says the baby{s} are moving & I’ll be really feeling them more soon. It also says blood vessels are visible through their thin skin & the ears have moved to the final position.

Seventeen Weeks

I went to a sprinkle yesterday {a 2nd baby shower} & took photos once I’d gotten home from there & updating our Target registry. This is a new tunic I found on super sale at Boden. Love it & wish I’d bought another one! How far along? 17w1d

Maternity clothes? Oh yeah. Normal T-shirts are starting to show the bump underneath!

Weight Gain? up a little more than 16 pounds at the last appt. Don’t weigh myself at home.

Stretch Marks? none yet.

Sleep? Doing pretty good.

Movement? Still not sure that I’m feeling them but not sure that I’m not either.

Genders? Still thinking boys/girls mixture but we’ll see for sure next Tuesday.

What I Miss? Nothing at the moment.

Food cravings? Fruit & carbs taste best. I throw in veggies & protein because I have to. I’m planning a “what I eat for triplets” post soon.

Food aversion? Still haven’t eaten Mexican food but I did have salsa yesterday & it was yummy.

Labor signs? No, thankfully.

Belly button in or out? Still an innie.

What I’m Looking Forward to? Showers soon~ can’t wait to celebrate these trips with friends! & seeing the babies at the 1/31 appointment.

Weekly Wisdom? Feeling great these past few days. Started having some reflux at the beginning of the week, but Tums {or CVS brand Tums} are doing the job to make it better so far. So weekly wisdom, don’t suffer through reflux/indigestion unnecessarily.

Milestones? 17 weeks!! That means halfway to our goal of 34 weeks! The babies {according to baby center} are the weight/size of turnips. And this week they’re developing sweat glands {hope they’re not sweaters like their momma-to-be!

Sixteen Weeks

I took these photos Saturday night after Papa’s party {little post to come on that} but I didn’t love them so I retook photos Sunday. I’d worn the grey H&M maternity tunic with leggings earlier but the jeans were on top of my bag. I really like the jeans better with the black Gap maternity top. To make up for last week’s lack of photo, I thought I’d share both.

hi to Mom in the background!

How far along? 16w2

Maternity clothes? yes. Starting to like wearing maternity tops for comfort as well as pants.

Weight Gain? up a little more than 16 pounds.

Stretch Marks? not yet.

Sleep? pretty good.

Movement? I’m starting to *think* that I’m feeling them, but I’m not super sure.

Genders? We hope healthy babies first. But would also love a mix of boys/girls. After our last appointment, the doctor suspects baby A is a boy, but we’ll see for sure 1/31.

What I Miss? not much this week.

Food cravings? Since recovering from cold/stomach bug, I haven’t really craved much. Bananas maybe.

Food aversion? Nothing new.

Labor signs? No, thankfully.

Belly button in or out? Still an innie.

What I’m Looking Forward to? The belly getting bigger. Seeing the babies for a while at the anatomy scan.

Weekly Wisdom? Resting is a good thing. Over-eating at grandfather’s brunch is bad. Between getting over the sick & less room in the tummy, I couldn’t handle my normal over-stuffing myself at brunch.

Milestones? The babies are the size of avocados this week & growing toenails!

Fifteen Weeks

The nicest I’ve dressed since I ripped off my work pants as soon as I got home from work Friday was jeans & a tight pre-pregnancy T on Saturday. But as I said in my we’ve been sick post, I was too tired for a photo shoot when I got home Saturday evening & things went down hill from there. Sorry y’all. I promise for a 16 week photo.

How far along? 15w5d

Maternity clothes? I’ve actually been in normal pj & yoga pants {worn low}, tanks & Ts {worn high} the last four days. But definitely in maternity pants & getting there on tops.

Weight Gain? I probably should’ve known my pre-pregnancy weight, but I don’t. So since I know my current weight from my appt Mon, I think I’m up about 15 pounds.

Stretch Marks? None & hoping it stays this way. But I’m being realistic.

Sleep? Tuesday night I was dehydrated & slept four hours in a row. When I woke up at 630 to pee, I realized I might not sleep four hours straight again for a very long time. I’m getting ok with that.

Movement? I know they’re moving, but I still don’t think I feel them yet.

Genders? We hope healthy babies first. But hope for a mix of boys/girls.

What I Miss? Being sick & just worrying about me. I guess “welcome to {pre}motherhood” right?!

Symptoms? This is the last time on this question. The belly. The hunger. I know I’m pregnant.

Food cravings? This week, nothing, everything, fruit & bread. I wasn’t called Suzanna Banana when I was little for no reason {I was not a fan of that nick name}.

Food aversion? Gah! The smell alone of the guacamole that looked so good at the store was just gross while husband ate the hell out of it. Sorry Mexican food. I hope one day we’re friends again.

Labor signs? No, thankfully.

Belly button in or out? Still in. Those belly button piercing holes though are looking pretty funny.

What I’m Looking Forward to? Seeing family this weekend. Showers that are being planned.

Weekly Wisdom? At fifteen weeks, the babies will kinda fend for themselves in me. So while I was gagging & puking trying to get food down at first, my nurse confirmed Wed morning that they’re fine on my reserves {aka hip fat} & I was okay for a few days just sticking with gatorade & ginger ale, bananas & saltines.

Milestones? The babies are the size of apples {four inches & weigh about 2.5 ounces} this week. They’re moving amniotic fluid through their noses & helping their lungs to develop. Their legs are now longer than the arms & they can sense light. Thanks Baby Center app, which I love but wish they had a multiples edition because when it told me I should’ve only gained 5 pounds & might start need to look into maternity clothes, I had to LOL.
