Photos Week 6

Day 36: Saturday I went to our friends’ engagement party & had Jason take a few SOS photos before I went out.  I participated in Joy of Love’s Day 5 {what you love to hate} with these photos.  For me it’s the clutter & clothes stacks.  I can atest that the clothes stacks were attached on Sunday but I believe until TLC knocks on the door for a makeover, we might be stuck with some clutter.

Day 37: Sunday after church I went to a Pottery Barn design class.  Part of the class focused on pillows.  I bought one covered & moved around some others.  I love my cozy nook of the den.

Day 38: Monday I cheated.  Jason took this so it’s not *really* mine, but it’s the only photo taken.  It also made me smile when I checked my phone at work & found Moe starring down the pillow in “his” chill spot.

Day 39: Tuesday night was the usual The Bachelor on the laptop.  This time it was right after work before Jason got home & as soon as I was on the loveseat with the Valentine’s Day owl blanket, I had a buddy making his bed on the couch with me.

Day 40: Wednesday night Moe was napping & I was watching TV in our usual spots.  He looks funny with his eyes half-open when I snapped this.  Also check out my Joy of Love day 9 {their hobby} post.

Day 41: Thursday morning, we woke up to a dusting of snow.  Moe & I enjoyed looking out the window at it.  I used this photo as Joy of Love day 10 {their favorite space}. Jason & I headed off to our 1st RE appt.

Day 42: Friday night we met friends out for dinner.  It was actually a surprise 30th for our friend Dave.  Good job Beth for pulling off the surprise!  I also received Boden purchases & tried on the skirt before I left for dinner.

How was  your week?

Rhiannon & Tim’s engagement party

This post is a little late, but better late than never right?  Matron of honor Jess & her husband Patrick set up a great party at their neighborhood’s clubhouse filled with great snacks, beer, wine & friends.  Kelly & Brett acted as my ride & my dates.  Sarah & Mike are the next to get married: this June.  Very pregnant Beth & her husband Dave smiled after finally agreeing to this photo.

Can’t wait for y’all’s December wedding!

Joy of Love: eyes

Day 12’s Joy of Love theme is their eyes.  Jason has amazing green eyes, but he wasn’t up for being a model.  Moe can’t say no, but he also doesn’t pose!  I wanted to follow Willette’s suggestion of getting him to face the sun & also for me to get off Auto.  I grabbed the camera & turned it to P setting when I saw Moe looking outside on his perch.

I got this photo of him in the sun, but it’s a little blurry.

He’d moved when I tried again, but I think this one is cool because he’s backlit.  I tried one more but he got fiesty & took a swat at the camera {guess he doesn’t really like being a model either}.

A lil shopping post

Me sad, frustrated, happy, excited=shopping &/or eating.  I call a year of unsuccessful TTC all four of the former & the reason for my gaining 8+ pounds this year & doing a good amount of shopping recently.  But I’ve told Jason that my online {which has been the big one} shopping will be cut out.  Of course just that week {last week}, I’d ordered a casual purple dress & two skirts from Boden & a top from Gap.  oops.

Thought I’d share with y’all me in the dark jean skirt since it arrived today.  I think it’ll look good with leggings & boots now & also with flip flops this summer.  Photo taken self-portrait style keeping on my caramel sweater from work.  Please ignore my scarily white legs!

I’m still undecided about the melon skirt but I think I’ll love it with tall boots.  I wore the dress yesterday {with brown leggings & the new Gap brown shirt} & I love it!  I think I could’ve ordered a size smaller in all three, but due to the weight gain & hopefully future baby sooner than later & being tired of tight clothes, I think I’ll be happy with that decision for the dress & jean skirt.  I tried on this coral skirt again & think I’ll exchange for the next size down.  These were my first Boden purchases & so far I’m impressed.  Love the free shipping & free returns too!

photos from Boden site

But since I’m putting it out there, y’all hold me to it~ no more shopping {at least for a lil while}. 😛

Trying To Conceive

First RE appointment

I meant to post this yesterday but was busy at work, then a coworker happy hour then made muffins for a work breakfast this morning.  After all that, I collapsed on the couch to watch AI.  The short of it: we both really like Dr P & everyone else we encountered at CC & left very hopeful.

I brought my charts from the past 13 cycles. He looked at them & right off said definitely a LP issue {which I’d gathered} but great that I have very regular cycles & am definitely O’ing {which I’d also hoped}. The RE said based on how short my LPs are if he’d seen my charts 6 months in, he would have recommended us come see him then. I told him my obgyn had waived it off {damn midcarolina}. He thinks it’s probably progesterone deficiency but not sure the cause yet. I had blood work done {damn rolling veins meant 2 sticks and bruises today} & Jason did the SA {aka his date with the cup} while we were there yesterday. Yeah, we were pumped we were able to get all that done for just one $50 copay!

My hsg will probably be within 2 weeks {between days 6-12 of my next cycle} then we meet back with him 3/1 to see where we go from there.  Dr. P did said while we were there, based on my short LPs, that we might start with clomid/fermara {because both not only bring on O but also help with progesterone} or maybe just do progesterone supplements.  IF friends, did you have to do those supplements? Or any of these other medicines?  What do you think?

Jason got his test results emailed to him. We got it this morning & his buddies are awesome; like 272 million awesome!! Woohoo! 🙂
